Security Service Title Company Redesign:

The Security Service Title Company (SSTC) is a Line of Business within Security Service Federal Credit Union. (SSFCU)

SSTC provides resources and services within a licensed, full-service title agency, with the intent to serve its members with closing needs.

The Problem:

The old SSTC site does not utilize best practices for user paths and CTAs. The code is outdated, and of low quality with pages having limited responsiveness. Poor CTAs and user paths are leading to low interaction and low conversions.

Process:

  • Work alongside Marketing to generate prototypes with updated content, imagery, etc.
  • Develop final prototype pages into SSFCU.org CMS

My Role:

UI developer and UX Consultant - developed all pages of the SSTC site within our Enterprise CMS.

Timeline: ~3 months

Tools Used:

  • Sitecore
  • Sublime
  • Bootstrap
  • Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
  • Adobe XD

Discover:

Due to the workflows at the time of this project - I met with Marketing and played the role of a UI/UX consultant. Providing advice on component usage, design choice, and user pathways.

In addition, we met with stakeholders within SSTC to gather feedback and input throughout the prototype phase.

Define:

Developing SSTC in Sitecore was pretty straightforward as we utilized very little of the old code, images, and iconography. Duplicate CTAs and content live within Sitecore as Global Components that can be placed on multiple different and reused.

The SSTC site while in development was staged within our QA environment where page content, imagery, and iconography underwent various iterations and revisions.

Develop:

Prototyping was done in Figma. Starting with molecular-level elements such as colors, fonts, iconography, buttons, branding, and spacing.

I then built out the different card components, along with their corresponding states in 2 different mobile device sizes and desktop sizes, to gauge how the elements would behave in smaller viewports.

After some initial team/lead reviews, I removed the icons, and dialed back the overall style, so that it was consistent with the look and feel of our current website. With all of the feedback gathered, the overall direction became clearer. I continued to elaborate and build out the other components, as well as corresponding mobile sizes.
